August 2011: Florida Hospital Celebration Health and Winter Park Memorial Hospital are proud to be recognized as Academic Centers of Excellence by the American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery (AIMIS). This designation is awarded to teaching hospitals that meet the highest standards of care for minimally invasive surgery in conjunction with an accredited AIMIS surgeon(s).

July 18, 2011: U.S. News and World Report recently named Florida Hospital as one of the top hospitals in the nation for Gynecology & Gastroenterology in the magazine's 2011 "Best Hospitals" Guide. After reviewing nearly 5,000 medical facilities, Florida Hospital ranked 30th in Gynecology and 45th in Gastroenterology.
Advanced technologies, attentive health care services, strong patient volumes and a highly skilled nursing staff all contributed to the achievement, along with pioneering use of minimally invasive robotic surgical technologies and a robust clinical research program.
Florida Hospital is the only non-university institution among the top 50 ranked byU.S.News. Florida Hospital is also considered high performing in 10 adult specialties. The hospital was among 140 facilities (fewer than 3 percent of the 4,825 analyzed for Best Hospitals rankings) to be ranked in more than one of the top 16 specialties.
May 12, 2010: Celebration ICU awarded the National Beacon Award! The Beacon Award is a national award presented by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (the largest critical care organization in the world) and given to Critical Care Units that have exemplified nursing innovation, high quality patient outcomes, healthy work environments, organizational ethics and a commitment to excellence. Florida Hospital Celebration Health's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) was the first in Central Florida to receive this award.
