Our History of Quality Community Care

When Disney decided to construct a new planned community near its DisneyWorld complex, it went looking for an innovative, visionary healthcare partner to build Celebration's new hospital. They found Florida Hospital, which was selected by the Disney Corporation to create a new standard in healthcare, right here in Central Florida.

From its earliest stages, the hospital was envisioned as a "state-of-the-art" facility that was different from other hospitals. Instead of becoming closed world, the hospital was designed to make extensive use of open spaces filled with natural light and gardens, patient rooms were created with families in mind, and artwork and sound was integrated to create a welcoming environment for patients, families and visitors.

The concept has been a resounding success, so much so that Florida Hospital Celebration Health often serves as a model for other healthcare facilities around the globe. Not only are its innovative designs mirrored elsewhere, but medical professionals worldwide travel to Central Florida to learn the latest advances in medical care, from new technologies to clinical trials that hold the promise of controlling or even curing diseases.

From its humble beginnings as a community hospital, Florida Hospital Celebration Health has expanded to host a range of unique services, including the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, the Nicholson Center for Surgical Advancement, Lifestyle Enhancement Center, Pain Center, the Global Robotics Institute and a 60,000 square-foot Fitness Centre & Spa. We also provide a wide range of healthcare solutions, from educational partnerships and technological breakthroughs to clinical innovation, leading edge research and teaching.
The result is a global leader in healthcare that is redefining the standard of excellence, right here in Central Florida.
