This is an opportunity for a motivated individual to gain experience in many facets of primary care/ambulatory care pharmacy in Central Florida. The resident will actively provide pharmaceutical care to patients and collaborate with other health care professionals. Anticoagulation Management Service, preventative health consults, Lipid Clinic, Smoking Cessation Clinic, health and wellness screenings (i.e., BP, glucose, osteoporosis, SkinScope, etc.), inpatient and outpatient medication dispensing/counseling, drug information/continuing education, and community outreach programs will be the main areas of focus. The development and completion of an original research project suitable for publication is a required component for successful completion of this ASHP-accredited residency. Teaching opportunities, including student preceptorship, are also available.
